Accessibility

Effective October 26, 2026 · Version 2026-10-26.1

Our target is WCAG 2.2 AA. For a text and keyboard route through the cemetery, use the complete searchable memorial directory. Email support@grave.bot if a barrier keeps you from browsing or completing an action.

1. Our accessibility target

We want people to use GraveBot with different devices, input methods and assistive technologies. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This is an improvement target, not a claim of certification or a completed independent conformance audit.

The cemetery includes a visual, animated scene. You do not need to navigate that scene to find a public memorial: use the memorial directory for name search, plot-ordered pages, memorial pages, funeral links and website links.

2. Browsing and completing actions

The directory loads 25 published memorials at a time rather than attempting to put 1,000,000 plots into a page. It uses labeled search, headings, a results list and ordinary links. Follow “Next 25 memorials” to continue, “First page” to restart the current search, or “Browse all” to clear it.

Forms and account pages use labeled controls and keyboard actions. You can create and manage a memorial through the purchase and account pages without selecting an existing grave on the canvas. The map’s help provides a route to the directory and assistance. Browser zoom, keyboard focus and reduced-motion settings should be usable across the text pages.

3. Sound and motion

Background music defaults to off and is controlled by the music button. Your explicit on or off choice is saved locally; an on choice can be restored on a later visit. Your operating system’s reduced-motion preference is used to reduce supported visual motion. Animated map and funeral presentations may still have visual limitations; the directory and text memorial pages provide alternatives to locating content in the scene.

The funeral is a decorative entertainment presentation. The memorial’s name, epitaph, artwork and website are also available from its ordinary memorial page. Contact us if an animation or control prevents you from accessing information or finishing an action.

4. Known limits and ongoing work

Canvas scenes do not expose every visual object as a separate screen-reader element. The directory is the complete paginated alternative for published memorial discovery. Customer artwork may contain text that is not reproduced in an image description, and external customer websites may have accessibility barriers outside our control.

We continue to evaluate keyboard focus, forms, contrast, motion and assisted completion. We do not claim every browser and assistive-technology combination has been tested. Report a specific barrier so we can reproduce it and prioritize a practical fix.

5. Report a barrier or ask for help

Email support@grave.bot with the page URL, the action you were trying to complete, the barrier you encountered and, if you choose, your browser or assistive technology. Avoid sending sensitive personal information. You can also write to Canary Doctor LLC, 350C Fortune Ter #227, Potomac, MD 20854.

Tell us which accessible format or assistance would help. We will work with you to provide an appropriate alternative and address the barrier. Support is available by email or mail; we do not currently offer telephone support.
